A log cabin is a great way to transform your outdoor space. Forest Garden log cabins have roofs and floors made from kiln-dried Tongue & Groove boards and are available with a choice of different roof felt options (we recommend the roof options that include underlay).
The timber used for these log cabins is slow grown, clear, Nordic Spruce. This timber is FSC? certified to ensure the stainability of the wood. The timber is kiln dried and we strongly advise that you apply and appropriate solvent-based preservative treatment inside and outside soon after assembly to extend the life of the cabin and whilst the timber used will change colour over time, simply re-apply a colour-based timber treatment regularly to maintain your preferred look.
Our precision-engineered logs are constructed with a 6-sided joint and chalet-cut corners to strengthen against the UK?s weather.
This log cabin must be built on a flat, level surface that is solid.
The attractive Chiltern log cabin is a compact but versatile design that would be ideally suited to various uses, including garden gym, office, or hobby room. The front glazed windows and double doors provide plenty of natural light to the building while the solid sides and back provide privacy and offer maximised wall space. You can fit the door on the right or left aspect when building the cabin.
All glazing is toughened glass that is either single or double glazed. The windows are tilt and turn operation, so they open on two axis.
The internal floor dimensions are 3.73m x 2.73m (12'3" x 8'11") so you have a total 10.2 square metres (110 square feet) of floor space.
The walls are made with kiln dried 34mm smooth-planed interlocking and 19mm Tongue & Groove boards are used for the roof and floor.
Different roof felt options are available for our log cabins. This option includes felt shingles and black sand felt underlay. The felt shingles give a more traditional 'tiled' pattern effect to the finished roof.
