The Wolverley log cabin is a large contemporary looking cabin with a simple pent roof. The glazed double doors and large windows mean that it will be a naturally light building that will provide you with a versatile space. The doors can be added to the left or right side of the front during construction and the windows feature the tilt and turn opening system.
The overall internal footprint is a generous 5.7m x 3.7m to give you 212.2 square meters (228 square metres) of floor space that will easily accommodate a home office, dining room, garden gym, workshop or other living space extension.
The walls are made from thick 45mm interlocking logs and all the windows are double glazed with toughened glass.
A log cabin is a great way to transform your outdoor space. Forest Garden log cabins have roofs and floors made from 19mm kiln-dried Tongue & Groove boards.
The timber used for these log cabins is slow grown, clear, Nordic Spruce. This timber is FSC? certified to ensure the stainability of the wood. The timber is kiln dried and we strongly advise that you apply and appropriate solvent-based preservative treatment inside and outside soon after assembly to extend the life of the cabin and whilst the timber used will change colour over time, simply re-apply a colour-based timber treatment regularly to maintain your preferred look.
Our precision-engineered logs are constructed with a 6-sided joint and chalet-cut corners to strengthen against the UK?s weather.
This log cabin must be built on a flat, level surface that is solid.
Different roof felt options are available for our log cabins. This option includes a 34kg weight Polyester felt and black sand felt underlay. The felt has a polyester fibre base layer, making it much tougher and more resistant to tearing than non-polyester grades. As this felt has more than three times the tear resistance of conventional mineral felt it has a life expectancy of up to 20-30 years when installed properly.
